About the role
Position Summary
This position will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and preparing locations for regulatory permitting in support of oil and gas operations. Duties will include site planning, stakeholder engagement, onsite field visits with regulatory agencies and landowners, field inspections, and regulatory reporting at the State and Federal levels. Assist with data entry and permitting software for Chord Energy. Level and salary commensurate with experience.
Essential Responsibilities
Make certain all annual updates, renewals, and reports are submitted to state and local municipal entities
Keep company informed of any changes to permit requirements to ensure compliance
Interface with drilling, production, facilities, development, and planning personnel to identify site locations and develop plat packages
Collaborate in preparation of the drilling schedule
Order and Track resource surveys as needed
Represent Company for on sites
Inform drilling and production personnel of applicable regulations that might impact activities

Support well operations, drilling activities, and audit obligations as needed
Approximately four trips to the corporate office in Houston, TX will be expected

Minimum Qualifications
3 years experience permitting or ROW experience in oil and gas industry
Bachelor’s degree
Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record for Company insurance requirements
Must be at least 21 years old for Company motor vehicle insurance
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
Ability to work in a fast-paced and fluid environment; flexible with the demands of a growing company
Ability to meet deadlines and the ability to produce results under tight deadlines
Strong analytical and research skills
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: Must possess the ability to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer, copier, files, telephone, and fax; maintain attention to detail despite interruptions; vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone

Preferred Qualifications
Basic understanding of the Public Lands Survey System
Experience with GIS or mapping software
