OPS Research Technician-Kopinke Lab
Job Description:The Kopinke Lab is seeking a motivated and organized OSP Research Technician for a temporary, full-time position (up to 40 hours per week).

Primary Responsibilities:
Your main duties will involve hands-on laboratory work, including:
- Mouse colony management (breeding, genotyping, and general animal care)
- Tissue harvesting
- Cell culture techniques
Additional Responsibilities:
You will also be essential to our lab's organization and operations, including:
- Maintaining clean and organized lab areas
- Managing ordering and supply inventories
- Creating and updating spreadsheets and other lab documents

Expected Salary:$17 to $19 per hour, based on experience and skills.
Minimum Requirements:High school diploma and 3 years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least 1 year of relevant experience. Please ask references to comment on lab/research experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) is required. Requires strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions with a good work ethic.
Preferred Qualifications:Full-time work schedule preferred but will consider a part-time work schedule. Experience in these techniques is highly desirable:
• Basic knowledge of genetics and cell biology
• Knowledge in molecular biological and histological procedures and techniques, including tissue sectioning, immunohistochemistry, and fluorescence microscopy
• For the purpose of data analysis, knowledge of specific software such as GraphPad, Excel, ImageJ and Photoshop
• A background in mouse husbandry and tissue dissections
