Meritus is looking for an experienced and compassionate RN- Clinical Manager to join our Behavioral Health Unit. As a Clinical Manager, you will lead a dedicated team of healthcare professionals in providing high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals experiencing mental health challenges. This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape the direction of care, foster a supportive environment, and ensure optimal patient outcomes.

About the Unit(s):

• The Behavioral Health Unit at Meritus is an 18-bed, adult inpatient unit.
• The unit admits patients 24 hours a day through the hospital’s Emergency Department or by physician referral.
• The Crisis Unit is a 6-bed unit that provides 24/7 support and clinical intervention for those who are experiencing crisis level substance use/addiction issues.
• Our team of professionals include specialty trained Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, Nursing Assistants, Master’s Prepared Clinical Social Workers and Counselor’s as well as recovery support peers, Nurse Practitioners and Physician oversight.

The Clinical Manager will:

• Maintain 24-hour accountability for area(s) of service
• Provide administrative and financial accountability for planning, directing, staffing, coordinating, and controlling functions and activities for areas of service.
• Participate in the development of the nursing strategic plan.
• Systematically enhance the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice, and the delivery of patient and family centered care. Promotes a caring, healing environment for patients, families, and staff.
• Provide clinical support to staff. Supervises staff in their delivery of care and evaluation of results.

Requirements:

Education – BSN required. Master's degree in nursing preferred.

Experience – A minimum of 5 years of experience in related setting.

Licensure/Certification – Current license as a Registered Nurse in the state of Maryland required, or Compact/ Multistate RN License. Professional Certification in Nursing Leadership or area of clinical specialty preferred.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities – Ability to apply the standards of professional nursing leadership with compassion and empathy. Advanced computer skills including use of Microsoft Office components required. Must possess high level of organizational and communication skills.
