We are seeking a Sitecore Certified Programmer with at least three (3) years of hands-on experience to join the California Natural Resource Agency, (CNRA team for an onsite role based in the Sacramento, CA area. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in full-cycle Sitecore development, implementation, and maintenance, with a focus on delivering scalable and accessible web solutions for enterprise-level clients.
This position is being submitted as part of a response to a Request for Proposal (RFP). Employment is contingent upon contract award. If awarded, the expected period of performance will be July 2025 through June 2028.

Work Schedule: Standard business hours; must be available for stakeholder coordination and issue escalation
What You'll Do

1. Sitecore Development & Maintenance
-
Design, develop, configure, and maintain web applications using the Sitecore Experience Platform.

Implement Sitecore templates, layouts, components, and workflows according to design specifications.

Integrate Sitecore with backend systems, APIs, and third-party tools as needed.
2. Front-End Web Development
-
Use HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to build responsive, accessible, and user-friendly web interfaces.

Ensure cross-browser compatibility and mobile responsiveness of Sitecore web pages.

Collaborate with UI/UX designers to translate wireframes and designs into functional components.
3. Accessibility & Compliance

Ensure all website deliverables meet ADA, Section 508, and WCAG 2.1 AA compliance standards.

Perform accessibility testing using tools like WAVE, screen readers, and assistive technology.

Remediate accessibility issues in collaboration with QA and design teams.
4. Code Quality & Deployment

Write clean, well-documented, and efficient code following coding standards and best practices.

Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and deployment processes.

Use version control systems (e.g., Git) to manage codebase integrity.
5. Collaboration & Documentation

Work with cross-functional teams including project managers, analysts, designers, and other developers.

Document Sitecore configurations, components, and customizations for knowledge sharing and maintainability.

Provide input on system design, performance improvements, and long-term scalability.

What You'll Bring- Required

Bachelor's degree in an IT-related or Engineering field, or equivalent experience.

At least 3 years of experience in electronic data processing systems study, design, and programming.

3 years of experience implementing and operating Sitecore.

Sitecore certification (must be currently certified).
Additional Experience
-
3 years of experience in web design and development best practices.

3 years of experience with XHTML, CSS, JavaScript.

3 years of experience developing mobile applications (if applicable to your project).

3 years of experience with website accessibility remediation.

3 years of experience applying ADA, Section 508, and WCAG AA standards.

2 years working with HTML accessibility techniques (e.g., ARIA, JavaScript, AJAX).

2 years using browser-based accessibility tools (e.g., WAVE)
