Boeing Finance Shared Services (FSS) is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join the Defense Supply Chain Financial Analysis team in Mesa, AZ.

This Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for in-depth and complex material cost analysis across our Defense portfolio, evaluating financial and supply chain datasets. Analysis across supply chain consists of, but not limited to, Bill of Material analysis, including demand analysis, transfer and scrap trends, Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system transactions, and inventory analysis in support of key program financial affordability objectives. A key priority will be to evaluate and analyze our material cost for improved risk and opportunity recommendations and continuously improve our cost management and integration across our business systems, in particular Material Management and Accounting System (MMAS) and Earned Value Management System (EVMS). The analyst will also be responsible for evaluation and integration of material cost into future systems and tools.

This analyst will work closely with other analysts within the Defense Supply Chain vertical and with key stakeholders across other functions including Supply Chain, Materials Management, Program Finance, Integrated Planning and Scheduling, Engineering, and Program Management.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Analyzes Bill of Materials, supplier data, material demands, and MRP/Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system data, in addition to material cost data and trends across multiple programs and platforms

  • Makes recommendations to management on material financial performance projections using analysis and evaluations of various system datasets and business knowledge and experience

  • Navigates ambiguity to identify opportunities, risks, and challenges the business to capture value

  • Ensures compliance with applicable Boeing and Governmental regulations concerning financial policies, procedures, processes, systems and tools

  • Trains, mentors, and leads other analysts

  • Exhibits a positive attitude and willingness to serve as a change agent

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher

  • 5+ years of experience in a business-related function (including but not limited to: Finance, Contracts, Estimating, Procurement Financial Analysis, Business Operations, Supplier Management)

  • Experience applying EVM methodology and analysis

  • Experience analyzing MRP/ERP system data

  • Experience with Estimates at Completion, Data Analysis, Budgeting, and/or Cost Performance Reporting

  • Experience building positive relationships, collaborating effectively, and communicating clearly

  • Ability to work with and analyze large amounts of data

  • Ability to work across functions and represent finance effectively 

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience with financial analysis, financial modeling, financial or resource forecasts, and/or assessment of associated risks and opportunities

  • Experience working with large data sets (e.g. advanced Excel, Power Pivot, Tableau and/or Microsoft Power BI)

  • Experience using strong verbal and written communication skills both virtually and in-person

  • Experience as a change agent and ability to communicate and drive change with multiple stakeholders

  • Experience as a Material Cost Analysis, Procurement Financial Analysis, Supply Chain, Material Estimating or Materials Management Business Analyst

  • Ability to adapt to rapidly changing environments and ability to meet deliverables
