ASSISTANT PROJECT MANAGER INTERN

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field (or recent graduate).
• Strong interest in HVAC, Plumbing, or General Construction.
• Valid driver’s license (preferred).
• Ability to travel up to 50% of the time (if required).
• State HVAC/Plumbing license is a plus but not required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:  

• Ability to read and interpret basic construction documents and specifications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing situations.
• Understanding of basic math concepts, including percentages and ratios.
• Ability to work in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).

Supervisory Responsibilities: None

 Essential Functions: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Under the guidance of Project Managers and Field Supervisors, the intern will:

• Assist in reviewing project specifications and developing work plans.
• Help track project progress and update schedules.
• Support procurement efforts by gathering materials, tools, and subcontractor quotes.
• Attend progress meetings and take notes for follow-ups.
• Assist in documenting job activities, delays, and issues.
• Help prepare and organize shop drawings, submittals, and reports.
• Gain exposure to job cost tracking and billing procedures.
• Support compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations.
