Medical Assistant 3-Gastroenterology (Fair Oaks)

Inova Physician Services (Gastroenterology-Fair Oaks) is looking for a dedicated Medical Assistant 3 to join the team. This role will be Full Time Monday to Friday ~8am-5pm

Medical Assistant 3 Job Responsibilities:

• Is proficient in duties outlined in the Medical Assistant 1 and Medical Assistant 2 job profiles.
• In close partnership with the clinic/nursing leader, coordinates Medical Assistant onboarding, which may include precepting, identifying deficiencies and continuous training.
• Assists clinic leader with patient experience and team member engagement initiatives, process improvement projects, and system quality initiatives.
• Participates in continuous training, development and demonstrates efficiency in advanced procedures related to the specialty of the clinic. (i.e., vasectomy, colposcopy).
• Participates in special projects.
• Leads daily clinical huddles as assigned.
• Partners with clinic and/or nursing leader to ensure adequate par levels for supplies.
• May perform additional duties as assigned.

 

Medical Assistant 3 Additional Requirements:

• Work schedule: Full Time Monday to Friday ~8am-5pm
• Education: High School or GED
• Experience: 1 year as an internal Inova Medical Assistant 2 or 3 years of total clinical experience
• Certification: Basic Life Support (American Heart Association) upon start & Certified Medical Assistant upon start
