Site Operations Manager - Twin Lakes Solar

As the Site Operations Manager for this 150 MW power plant situated in Monticello, Indiana you bear the responsibility for overseeing total employment, training, schedules, safety, and the day-to-day financial operations of the site. In your capacity as the head of safety, it is imperative to ensure that all permits and reports are current, valid, and in compliance with both federal and state regulatory agencies. You will be tasked with the management of vendors, subcontractors, maintenance, and consultants, coordinating efforts with third parties. Additionally, you will handle the troubleshooting of Balance of Plant (BOP) switching Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) functions and communicate with landowners and local communities.

 

Your managerial role extends to leading a team comprising three (3) technicians.  Utilizing systems like Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA), you will monitor daily asset performance and regulatory compliance to meet standards set by organizations such as the National Electrical Reliability Council (NERC). Your responsibilities involve utilizing various computer-based systems, ensuring the timely update and maintenance of all documentation. Collaboration with cross-functional management may be necessary to provide reports on the status, progress, and development of various projects on-site.

 

• You will need to provide technical and management support for the design and operations of the solar site
• Must be willing to attain substation technician certification within 12 months of hire date.
• Carries out all responsibilities under environmental legislation to prevent environmental spills.
• Manages a safety program that complies with all Federal and State requirements ensuring the safe operation of the site regarding the public, employees, and equipment.
• Cooperates with internal and third parties regarding safety and regulatory compliance and responds to their recommendations in a timely manner.

 

What You’ll Bring

• Technical diploma/high school diploma and five (5) years’ experience in a related industry where you gain knowledge and or experience with leadership, management, communication, organizational, operational and prioritization skills
• Minimum of three (3) years previous experience in supervision of technical, operating or maintenance personnel
• Working knowledge of power generating equipment and technologies and substations to identify, categorize and troubleshoot
• Must be physically capable of wearing protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to half and full-face

 

 

Additional Details

• Must have the ability to travel domestically and internationally on limited occasions to support other sites
• Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license/clean driving record
• Must be willing and able to comply with ENGIE’s policy with respect to COVID vaccination and testing
• Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is not exposed to weather conditions
• The position consists of 50% work indoors and 50% work outdoors; outdoor work may expose the employee to weather conditions
• Could involve some lifting / up to 50 lbs

 

Compensation

Salary Range: $96,100.00 – $147,660 USD annually

 

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan and emergency, or on-call pay.
