JOB SUMMARY

The Recruitment & Retention Specialist will serve as a liaison between employees, management, and Human Resources in the areas of recruiting, retention, and staff development.  

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Essential functions are duties, which are essential or primary to the position or the reason the position exists.  An individual must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation. 

  1. Positively represents the agency through appropriate interaction, personal appearance, and attitude.
  2. Maintains the recruitment and applicant tracking system through posting and filling both internal and external positions.  
  3. Ensures vital talent flow by partnering with leaders to develop strategies that attract an inclusive pool of qualified and talented team members.
  4. Assess candidates for qualifications, skills, experience, and knowledge relative to open positions.
  5. Assists in facilitating the onboarding and orientation process.   
  6. Ensures all screening and hiring is done in accordance with employment laws and regulations. 
  7. Tracks and maintains the credentials of clinical providers.
  8. Strengthens the employee experience by identifying, understanding, and creatively addressing engagement and retention needs and opportunities.
  9. Ability to communicate effectively with candidates, team members, and management. 
  10. Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of all human resources files and records.  
  11. Other HR functions, as necessary.

SECONDARY FUNCTIONS

Secondary functions are duties, which are not exclusive of the position, can be performed by other positions; however, secondary duties are to be performed for the efficiency of The Counseling Center, Inc.

  1. Assists with office tasks as needed.
  2. Performs any other duties as assigned by management. 

Qualifications


COMPETENCIES

  1. Knowledge of general HR practices and procedures.
  2. Skilled in operating office machinery with speed and accuracy.
  3. Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and written. 
  4. Demonstrates appropriate understanding of working with confidential material and situations.
  5. Ability to understand and assimilate new information quickly.
  6. Ability to accurately complete reports, gather statistics, transfer data.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, INCLUDING TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE

  1. Bachelor’s degree preferred, HR Certification and/or field experience considered. 
  2. Human Resources experience required.
  3. Prior recruiting experience required. 
  4. Knowledge about the disease of addiction preferred.
