Role and Responsibilities 

 

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer to design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable, and high-performing network infrastructures across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in Azure and AWS networking, firewall configuration, VPN setup, and hybrid connectivity solutions. The Network Engineer will play a key role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of enterprise network systems.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, configure, and manage LAN, WAN, and cloud network infrastructures to ensure high availability and security.
  • Establish and maintain hybrid connectivity between on-premises data centres and Azure using ExpressRoute and VPN tunnels.
  • Deploy and configure Azure networking components, including VNETs, NSGs, Application Gateways, Load Balancers, and Private Endpoints.
  • Administer and manage Azure AD / Entra ID, including access controls, RBAC, and secure authentication methods.
  • Configure and maintain Cisco ASA and Fortinet firewalls, routers, and switches to enforce security and traffic management.
  • Support AWS networking and security components, including VPCs, Security Groups, and CloudWatch monitoring.
  • Perform network performance monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization to maintain system reliability.
  • Conduct network penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, and implement remediation actions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support application deployments, security audits, and system upgrades.
  • Maintain documentation for configurations, topology diagrams, and operational procedures.
  • Ensure disaster recovery and BCDR readiness for all network environments.

 


Minimum Qualification

Required Skills and Expertise:

  • Strong understanding of network architecture, routing, and switching protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP).
  • Hands-on experience with Azure networking (VNETs, ExpressRoute, NSG, Private Links) and AWS VPC design.
  • Proficiency with firewall management and VPN configuration (Cisco ASA, Fortinet, Azure Firewall).
  • Experience with identity and access management (Azure AD, Entra ID, IAM).
  • Familiarity with network security standards and compliance (NIST, HIPAA, FedRAMP).
  • Knowledge of virtualization and cloud infrastructure (VMware, Hyper-V).
  • Scripting knowledge in PowerShell or Azure CLI for automation and network management.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in enterprise-level network design and support for hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
  • Background in cloud migration and cost optimization projects.
  • Familiarity with automation, DevOps, and CI/CD integration within cloud infrastructures.

 

Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
