Job Summary
Responsibilities
- In coordination with Alumni Engagement and Annual Giving (AEAG), develops and executes a solicitation calendar that effectively utilizes all forms of annual giving solicitations, including telephone, direct mail, e-mail and crowdfunding appeals.
- Maintains a portfolio and solicits leadership annual gifts for Friends of Maroon Athletics while working with Senior Associate Director of Development, Athletics to identify major gifts prospects
- Develops comprehensive alumni relations program, including communications and events in coordination with Senior Associate Director of Development, Athletics and University alumni staff. Recommends long and short-range goals and overall direction of alumni programs.
- Plans, manages and attends targeted athletics events for all constituents in Chicago and nationally including: homecoming, Hall of Fame, parent and alumni events and designated events connected to conference and NCAA championships.
- Assists coaches with fundraising for team-specific priorities (international and out of region travel, facility enhancements, upgraded equipment, etc.)
- Manages all components of direct mail for athletics, working in close concert with AEAG to target these communications.
- Works with College Development to ensure a seamless acknowledgement of gifts.
- Writes and edits applicable correspondence from the Director of Athletics and Recreation and coaches, maintaining confidentiality.
- Works with stewardship team to implement athletics stewardship process by involving the Director of Athletics and Recreation, coaches, and student-athletes to produce impact reports and other donor recognition documents.
- Assists Senior Associate Director of Development, Athletics in setting programming, strategy, and communication plan for Athletics Giving Day.
- Creates and maintains complex database reports and other research materials as needed.
- Seeks opportunities for professional development that will enhance job performance, including building networks within the University and with colleagues at peer institutions.
- Has a moderate/high level of authority in drafting informational and marketing materials for review for assigned programs. Assists in developing support materials for specific fundraising activities.
- Cultivates and maintains relationships with donors and volunteers. Establishes and maintains donor records and accounts.
- Performs other related work as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
