The Senior Accountant the is responsible for the preparation and review of Health Plan financial statements. Performs analysis of the operating statement, balance sheet and other financial reports.  Will prepare or review monthly account reconciliations, and journal entries.  

 

Please note the following important detail regarding this role: 

  • This position is affiliated with Providence Health Plan and will be tied to a location and compensation range in Portland, Oregon

 

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 3+ years of progressive experience in the health care or insurance industries

 

Preferred qualifications:

  • Coursework/Training and Graduate-level education -OR- a combination of equivalent educ/experience
  • Leadership experience
  • 3+ years of progressive experience in accounting and financial reporting 
  • Statutory Reporting experience (NAIC)

The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
