Your Responsibilities

 

As a Senior Software Engineer for the Intelligent Solutions Group located in Urbandale, IA you will be responsible for designing and implementing solutions that provide machine network and signal information for Config Authors, Engineers and other users inside the organization. In addition you will:

 

  • Collaborate with team members and customers to understand business requirements and UX design
  • Evaluate and implement system enhancements to improve cost, performance and quality
  • Design, develop, test and monitor front end code
  • Collaborate with team members on technical best practices, software architecture and software integration

What Skills You Need

 

  • 3 or more years with modern front-end design and tools (React, Vue, JavaScript/ES6, HTML5, etc.)
  • 3 or more years writing and consuming APIs
  • 2 or more years working with databases and SQL queries (MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, etc.)
  • 2 or more years in Cloud development with platforms like AWS or Azure
  • 2 or more years leveraging DevOps and lean development principles such as Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery/Deployment using tools like Git, Jenkins, Drone, GitHub Actions, etc.
  • 2 or more years understanding of full-stack design patterns and designing loosely coupled architectures
  • Strong communication skills

What Makes You Stand Out

 

  • Experience with using containers for orchestration of servers (Ex: Docker, ECS/K8s, etc.)
  • Experience with vehicle systems network data
  • Experience with monitoring tools such as Datadog, Cloudwatch, etc.
  • Experience with Test Driven Development (TDD) and software test automation
  • Demonstrated ability of driving innovation into our processes or products

 

Education

 

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

 

  • Bachelors degree in IT, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or 6 plus years of equivalent experience in a related career field
