About the role

Responsibilities

Noblis is seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead the manufacturing of complex Navy communications systems in a job shop environment. Our ideal candidate has successfully led change within an established production facility of a similar scale and level of complexity and is ready to take on a new challenge. The goal is an efficient and productive manufacturing process that meets customer requirements. You will lead a team of 30+ skilled workers and report to the Network Integration Engineering Facility (NIEF) program manager.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage production schedule for on-time completion
  • Communicate with government customer and represent Noblis production team to internal and external stakeholders
  • Liaise with project managers and functional area managers to formulate objectives and understand requirements
  • Organize workflow to meet specifications and deadlines
  • Monitor production to resolve issues
  • Take an active role in factory production planning
  • Identify and address key concerns that may alter or impact production schedule
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality control standards
  • Report to upper management

Required Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Must have the ability to obtain a Secret clearance
  • A bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, business administration, or a related field is preferred, plus 8 years of experience (OR Master's Degree + 6 years of experience OR High School + 11 years of experience)

 

Required Experience:

  • At least one year of experience in a production management/supervisor role
  • Experience leading people and teams in a manufacturing environment
  • Proven experience manufacturing complex goods within a job shop or batch flow process
  • Experience with lean methodologies and process improvement

 

Required Skills:

  • Ability to manage a team efficiently and effectively
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to facilitate discussions and resolve conflicts
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, capable of motivating and guiding cross-functional teams
  • Problem-solving mindset, able to adapt to changing priorities and make informed decisions
  • Results-oriented with a strong focus on delivering high-quality outcomes
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Written communication and presentation skills

Desired Qualifications

Preferred Experience/Qualifications:

  • Active Secret Clearance
  • Experience in skilled trades
  • CANES and ADNS operations and installation experience
  • Experience supporting the Department of Defense as a contractor
  • Experience supporting design, analysis, manufacturing, installation, modification, repair, testing, and operation of Naval fleet electronic/communication equipment and systems
