Collins Aerospace is seeking a highly skilled and motivated API Development Engineer to support the development and implementation of common platform service products focused on Cloud Native Edge systems. This exciting opportunity will involve working with a small team to leverage your expertise in API development.

What You Will Do​

• API Development in Linux Environment
• Automates manual procedures.
• Documents procedures in a clear and unambiguous manner.
• Demonstrates work to a variety of audiences.
• Participates in and contributes to the team's Agile ceremonies, including daily scrum, Sprint and Program Increment planning, and retrospective meetings.
• Helps teammates to achieve success in their tasking.
• Reviews work and provides actionable feedback to teammates.

Qualifications You Must Have 

• FastAPI/OpenAPI – REST based API development in a Linux environment.
• Procedure automation using scripting technologies like Python3, Linux shells, Windows PowerShell, Ansible, Terraform.
• Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) and their services (e.g., compute, storage, networking), VPC, subnets, VPN, firewalls, and load balancers.
• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience.

• Cumulative 5+ years of DevSecOps / API development experience with the following tools and concepts: IaC tools and frameworks Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, Ansible, CI/CD automation design and implementation with GitLab CI, ArgoCD, Flux, Terraform, Nexus Repository Manager, Artifactory.
