What You Will Do:

Guidehouse is looking for an energetic, collaborative, creative leader to join our team as an Executive Director and Deputy Program Manager. Guidehouse is responsible for building and expanding a large, mission-critical, complex Federal technology and services platform that serves more than half of all Federal agencies.

In this role you will:

  • Oversee execution of the large and complex program, directing senior leaders responsible for technology, business, and consulting functions
  • Work across the program to ensure the attainment of financial and operational goals within the segment in support of the company’s overall financial and strategic objectives
  • Establish budgets, short- and long-range objectives, and criteria for monitoring progress and measuring success
  • Administer the organization’s policies through subordinate managers and direct and coordinate activities of multiple departments, including system operations, software development, customer account management, customer support, development of new technology and services offerings, and accounting and finance
  • As the functional activities are complex, this leader’s decisions will have a major impact on business operations for the entire directorate and throughout the company
  • Promote an atmosphere of cooperation and collaboration among the program leadership team
  • Work closely with federal Senior Executives to ensure the overall health of the Program
  • Assume a key role in sharing program status to executive level management within the Company and work with other leaders across the company to drive practice and segment growth


What You Will Need:

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited institution
  • Delivered and supported a large-scale software-based system including a full range of support services (system operations, system modernization, account management, consulting, help desk, etc.)
  • Worked extensively in the Federal contracting space – at least 15 years of experience with at least 8 years of progressively responsible management positions
  • Had prior experience as the program manager of a government contract with at least $35M of annual revenue, or as the deputy program manager of a contract with at least $50M of annual revenue, or as a portfolio manager of multiple programs with at least $50M of annual revenue, with P&L responsibilities
  • Developed a strong understanding of Government contracts and business operations
  • Managed integrated teams of employees and subcontractors
  • Displayed a collaborative leadership style in an organization with multiple senior team leaders/managers on a complex program with broad scope
  • Interacted closely with functional teams (HR, recruiting, business operations, subcontracts administration, procurement)
  • Demonstrated strong people management skills in a diverse environment – career development, performance management, etc.
  • Mastered the range of project management skills from developing plans through successful execution to closeout
  • Worked effectively with close customer involvement in an ‘embedded’ setting, especially at the executive customer level
  • Developed strong written and spoken communication skills
  • Executed programs with strict information security policies and regulations, including the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance
  • Demonstrated entrepreneurial spirit – small company or start-up experience would be a relevant plus
  • Approached program challenges with creative, decisive, collaborative approaches
  • Must be local to Washington DC metro-area

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance
