Job Description
The Talent Payment Manager will support the Business Affairs department with all Residual talent payments, talent payment estimates for all TV, Radio, Internet, and Digital productions produced and aired by the Agency. The Talent Payment Manager works with the Account Team, Traffic Department, Media Department and Business Affairs Managers.
Roles and Responsibilities include:
- Estimates Broadcast, Radio, Internet, and Digital Talent Residuals
- Creates and approve costs of Residual related estimates and invoices
- Works with Account to prepare quarterly or job-by-job estimates for talent reuse
- Works with Broadcast Traffic to obtain flight scheduling to pay talent fees for all spots currently airing
- Checks in with Media dept. regarding media buys
- Tracks all active spots to ensure that talent holding fees are authorized and paid on time ensures that “maximum use periods” are known and anticipated
- Grants final approval and closure of all production and talent reuse jobs
- Manages the day-to-day workflow
- Enforces adherence to quality standards for the team as set forth by the department head
- Keeps abreast of all SAG/AFTRA talent contracts rules and regulations.
- Participates in departmental staff meetings
- Keeps supervisor apprised of the status of work
- Responsible for preparing Residual budgets
- Follows up on signed estimates
- Opens purchase orders or tracks dollars for all expenditures
- Checks and processes invoices in a timely manner
- Monitors job for overages/underages
- Informs account group/financial when job can be closed
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Previous internship experience in an advertising agency preferred.
- Responsible, self-motivated, highly organized individual who learns quickly and communicates well with others
- Ability to follow-up effectively and work well under pressure
- Knowledge of the AFM, AFTRA and SAG Contracts are a plus
- Professional and positive attitude
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- Good math skill set
- Computer literate
- Team builder
- Strong problem- solving skills and detail oriented
- Agency and/or advertising/marketing background a plus
Additional Information

Compensation Range: $68,000 - $80,000 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
