Position Summary and Responsibilities
This position is working with Willamette Connections Academy from our office in the state of Oregon. The School Engagement Administrator will lead and support the mission of Willamette Connections Academy be responsible for implementing policies and requirements in the day-to-day operation of the school, and manage teachers as they use the phone and Internet to consult regularly with learning coaches and students, ensuring that each child successfully completes his/her instructional programs. The Administrator is responsible for the overall program operation working with parents, students, support staff and certified teachers who “virtually” facilitate a home-based student instructional program.
Other key responsibilities include the following:
- Manage the implementation of the school initiatives and policies;
- Ensure that teachers exhibit and maintain a high level of professionalism, instructional support, customer service, and integration of career awareness and readiness activities into their subject area and courses as appropriate;
- Ensure the academic success of individual students by utilizing all levels of academic support available and by maintaining a high level of communication with parents to deliver program information and address individual student needs;
- Manage programs and supports in regard to WillCA’s Dean of Students to address students struggling with being chronically absent;
- Manage relationships with the Department of Education, and stay current on the state’s policies, procedures and legislation, including specific special education procedures, etc;
- Assist teaching staff with implementing any program changes and/or new software application introductions;
- Exhibit high quality communication with all staff, students and families;
- Oversee newsletter production, phone calls, regional meetings, and surveys;
- Oversee the implementation and coordination of state standardized testing process, and ensure high student participation rates;
- Oversee the implementation of weekly staff conducted small group student advisory sessions focused on career readiness topics and activities to help students successfully complete their instructional and career pathway programs;
- Oversee the implementation and coordination of internship experiences for students;
- Provide assistance to families in need of additional support and encourage a high level of participation;
- Participate in student recruitment efforts including in-state trips, presentations, Q & A sessions and responding to the press;
- Communicate with parent Community Coordinators to suggest social activities and relevant field trips for students;
- Devise and implement virtual methods of creating and maintaining a “school community”;
- Recruit, supervise and evaluate all school staff as required by the state;
- Manage, organize and implement Benchmark assessments
- Assist with CEU credit acquiring for teachers;
- Plan, prepare, track Teacher training for testing (and other) as required for state and local reporting;
- Manage and implement School Year testing schedule;
- Create, plan, execute ACT preparation tasks (before, during, after testing);
- Build relationships with local businesses for venues reservation/events;
- Collaborate with IT support for state testing;
- Design a Credit Deficiency Program with collaboration from administration
- Oversee Late Enrolled Student Program
- All other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years teaching experience
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Customer focused approach
- Flexible
- Demonstrated ability to work well in fast paced environment

- Technologically proficient (especially with Microsoft Office and G Suite products)
