Summary
Job Description:
Part Time / 24 hours weekly
Night Shift
Prescribes, delegates, coordinates, and implements nursing care of patients as it relates to insertion and maintenance of vascular access; participates in patient and family teaching; and provides leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary, nursing, and other patient-team personnel in maintaining standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting.
Essential Duties:
Assesses appropriateness of line selection based on patient history, clinical condition, and planned therapy
Provides direct patient care and education to patients, caregivers, and staff in the appropriate use and care of vascular access devices.
Serves as a resource and provides leadership in the development, coordination, and monitoring of vascular access device and/or PICC line care, and system measurements to improve clinical outcomes
Requirements:
Current RN licensure recognized by the Kentucky State Board of Nursing is required.
One year RN experience required (hospital experience preferred)
Obtain any certifications or education required for any equipment or vascular access devices as needed.
