Staff Software Development Engineer

Duties & Responsibilities:

Summary: 
We are seeking a motivated software engineer to join our team of engineers building high-performance test equipment for the radio communications industry. You will be part of a team of developers working on all aspects of our products including user interface, automated testing, and device control.  

Responsibilities include: 

• Designing and developing applications for embedded Linux devices using C, C++ and Python.
• Testing and debugging applications.  
• Working closely with other engineers on these tasks.  

Pre-Requisites / Skills / Experience Requirements:

Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience.  
• Excellent programming skills in one or more of the following languages: C++, Python.  
• Experience writing embedded code for real-time systems.  
• Knowledge of data acquisition hardware such as I2C.  
• Familiarity with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, etc.  
• Ability to read schematics and understand how to program devices.  
• Experience deploying applications within an Agile development environment.  
• Good written and verbal communication skills.  

Desirable Skills: 

• Knowledge of Atlassian Tools, C/C++, Python, JavaScript, Git.  
• Understanding of containerization technologies such as Docker.  
• Experience with version control systems such as Git.  
• Knowledge of design patterns and architecture styles.  
• Familiarity with distributed computing concepts such as multithreading, message passing, and parallel processing.
