Job Overview
We are currently looking for a Senior Workplace Design Specialist to join our team in Holland, MI.
As a Senior Workplace Design Specialist, you will:
Provide creative design application of Haworth products for internal and external customers at small floor plate, neighborhood, and workstation levels. Leads large-scale projects for strategic bid response, corporate offices, showrooms, marketing projects, sales initiatives, mockups, trade shows, and/or photo shoots. Shares knowledge and design through presentations and seminars to internal audiences, including Sales (including Architectural and Design [A&D]) members, and dealers.
Some of the responsibilities may include (but not limited to):
- Leads understanding and applied design of Haworth global brand by developing creative design applications, custom options, detailed drawings, specifications, and value engineered product solutions. May work with Regional Government Managers, A&D firms, Global Account Managers, Sales members, dealers, and customers to determine best application of Haworth products to meet customer needs for projects in any area of world.
- Leads design development and pre-move phases of integrated design process and keeps all stakeholders well informed to optimize results.
- May participate in design charettes and develop most appropriate customer solutions to differentiate Haworth’s approach to knowledge and applied design.
- Continually defines opportunities for improvements to Integrated Design Process or bid response to secure more wins.
- May support new product launches and provide mockup design support through product selection and design to support marketing programs and/or pre-sell customer projects.
- Collaborates with wide variety of functional areas such as Sales, Engineering, Marketing, Manufacturing, and Customer Service. May be involved with developing and providing project requirements responsive to customer needs and market opportunities.
- Assists Guest Services and sales teams with customer visits as requested for exceptional client orientation.
- Actively engages with Field Sales members, dealerships, and co-workers, through coaching and mentoring, to continually educate and enable their ability to engage with customers.
- Operates Haworth Computer Aided Design (CAD) system, via personal computer (PC) and keyboard/mouse, producing presentation and installation drawings in two- and three-dimensional (2D and 3D) format, utilizing supporting software and following Haworth drawing standards. May create or support creation of computer-generated rendered images and animations, working from solid models, engineering drawings, actual product, hand sketches, and digital images to produce accurate depictions of customers’ proposed layouts and product selections.
- Maintains project work files and updates competitive resource library with current product information, in conjunction with Applied Design, for more effective response process.
- Creates, develops, and/or maintains prioritized list of strategic customers, projects, and requirements for output for reporting and resource allocation.
Do you have these required qualifications?
- Bachelor’s Degree in Design, Architecture, closely related field.
- Six years commercial interior design experience.
- Three years project management experience of medium-scale projects.
