Analyst-Informatics Support Senior

(This role is hybrid with some onsite work in Indianapolis, Indiana)

Seeking an effective, creative and mission driven person for this key role. This is a senior analyst focused in the area of emerging technologies including artificial intelligence, clinical research and analytics.  This role will include value discovery and creation in emerging technology, and other affiliated efforts to achieve strategic deliverables for the organization. Reporting to the CMIO and working closely with the teams in informatics and information services, this leader will also be responsible for actionable analysis from several data sources, driving accountability from within IIS and other teams at IU Health, and helping transform how technology supports our mission. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides comprehensive support and analysis to optimize the adoption and utilization of the electronic medical record (EMR) system. 
  • Identifies gaps and inefficiencies related to workflow and usage of the EMR system and takes a new perspective using existing solutions. 
  • Collaborates with the Clinical Informatics team to support EMR system planning, implementation, and end user training. 
  • Solves complex problems.  
  • Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience.

STRONGLY PREFERRED:

  • PMP (Project Management Process) certification preferred, extensive experience with complex program or project management.
  • Clinical experience
  • Health care experience
  • An understanding of the Information Management principles, IT processes, SDLC, architecture and technologies adopted by an organization.
  • Extensive experience with MS Project, SharePoint, Word, Excel, MS Project and PowerPoint.
  • A demonstrated fundamental understanding of project accounting and financial management.
  • Experience with enterprise PPM (Project and Portfolio Management) tools.
  • Experience in facilitation, solution scoping, business case development and creation of TCO models

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience
  • 5-7 years relevant ambulatory, clinical, healthcare, or training experience required.
  • Requires the ability to travel 10-15% within Indiana.
  • Requires the ability to work flexible hours (some overnight and weekend hours required).
  • Cerner Electronic Medical Record experience preferred.
  • Clinical certification preferred (LPN, CMA, RT, etc.).
