Network & Integration Engineer (Azure-First, AI-Ready Infrastructure)
Department: IT
Reports to: SVP of IT, Security, and Infrastructure
In-Office: This position will sit 5 days per week in our Louisville, KY office.
Travel Requirements: Up to 10% domestic travel. This is not a driving position.
Role Type: Full-Time

The Network & Integration Engineer is responsible for supporting and improving the company’s technology environment across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid systems, with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure. This role helps ensure systems are secure, reliable, and easy to use, while also supporting modern tools, automation, and AI-driven capabilities.
This position works closely with Infrastructure, Security, Application, Data, and Compliance teams to keep systems running smoothly, protect company data, and support business operations. The role operates in a SOX-regulated environment and plays a key part in maintaining uptime, access control, and audit readiness.
Requirements
Education and Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, networking, cloud, or cybersecurity roles
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure or similar cloud platforms
- Experience supporting compliance or regulated environments (SOX preferred)
- Basic experience with automation or scripting is a plus
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work across teams
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
Technical Skills (Preferred)
- Microsoft Azure (virtual networks, security, identity, and cloud services)
- Networking concepts (VPNs, firewalls, secure access)
- Identity and access management (MFA, role-based access)
- Basic scripting (PowerShell or Python)
- Understanding of APIs and system integrations
- Monitoring and troubleshooting tools
- General understanding of automation and modern IT practices
Certifications (Preferred)
- Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate
- Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert
- Microsoft Azure Security Engineer Associate
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent
- Cisco CCNA or similar networking certification
Responsibilities
- Support and maintain Azure-based and hybrid infrastructure, including networks, secure access, and system connectivity
- Manage firewalls, VPNs, and secure remote access to ensure employees can safely connect to company systems
- Help design and improve cloud environments to ensure systems are reliable, scalable, and cost-effective
- Automate routine tasks to improve efficiency and reduce manual work using tools and scripting
- Support and secure system integrations and APIs to ensure data flows safely between applications
- Manage identity and access controls including MFA, role-based access, and conditional access policies
- Apply system updates, patches, and security best practices to protect against threats
- Assist with audits (SOX, ITGC) including access reviews, documentation, and remediation activities
- Monitor system performance and respond to issues to minimize downtime
- Provide support to end users for connectivity, access, and authe
