About the role
Overview
The Analyst VIII, Technical Data supports the Uncrewed Aircraft Systems (UAS) Project Office (PO) and PEO AVN Enterprise, which is essential for performance of the materiel developer’s mission to support to the war fighter. The UAS PO is tasked with developing, testing, fielding and maintaining the UAS Fleet to include a family of Small Uncrewed Aircraft Systems (SUAS), Future Tactical Uncrewed Aircraft Systems (FTUAS), Gray Eagle, One System Remote Video Terminal (OSRVT), Launched Effects (LE), and Uncrewed Vehicle Control (UVC).
Responsibilities
- · In coordination with key stakeholders, support Digital Enterprise product data and Digital Thread framework management. Provide review and verification in the receipt of Logistics Product Data and the Digital System Model.
- · Support the monitoring of the performance and progress of the UAS Program of Record (PoR) by participating in meetings and program reviews. With proper approval from the Contracting Officer, assist with the evaluation of contractor proposals.
- · Analyze and assess Engineering Change Proposals, Modification Work Orders, and Requests for Waiver and Deviations to identify logistics impacts and requirements for effective and efficient lifecycle product support.
- · Plan, develop, manage, and assist in the budgeting and acquisition of IPS technical data and information to support lifecycle management.
- · Analyze and assess IPS technical data and information (e.g., provisioning and follow-on provisioning logistics support source data).
- · Provide technical support in the analysis and evaluation of raw engineering source data covering maintenance repair, and test procedures. Develop practical procedures for inclusion in equipment publications.
- · Analyze and assess logistics support source data during equipment publication verification and determine the validity of operator and maintenance tasks, tools, failure symptom analysis, troubleshooting data, equipment functional description data, technical task analysis, and calibration and test equipment.
- · Identify all applicable tasks of Logistics Support Analysis in military standards and other specifications.
- · Develop, revise, and maintain equipment publications to include but not limited to Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals, Operator Manuals and Depot Maintenance Work Requirements.
- · Analyze, assess, and provide recommendations to the Government on the program’s data rights; and use for integrated logistics support data deliverables from the manufacturer.
- · Analyze and assess technical data related information necessary to develop and execute efficient and effective product support strategies, including but not limited to materiel management, training, information assurance, cataloging, open systems architecture, configuration management and control, systems engineering, technology refresh, repair and overhaul, and RAM.
- · Update and convert original documents created in Microsoft Word or Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF) into Extensible Markup Language (XML) format using Arbortext or like programs to reformat, resize, and edit graphics.
- · Maintain coordination with logistics stakeholders in support of technical data requirements, products, and processes.
- · Participate in validation and verification of assigned technical publications for the UAS system.
- · In the Publication Tracking System (PTS), investigate and reply to Department of the Army (DA) Form 2028, Recommended Changes to Publications and Blank Forms, and create Publication Change Requests (PCR).
- · Analyze and assess initial and follow-on provisioning of new and established items.
- · Analyze and assess Logistics Support Analysis and Logistics Support Analysis Reports (LSA and LSAR), Logistics Management Information (LMI), Technical Data Packages (TDP), Design Change Notices (DCN), Provisioning Parts List (PPL), and engineering data to ensure accuracy in the use of provisioning record builds, technical manual updates, and Logistics Modernization Program (LMP) data inputs.
- · Ensure proper item introduction; Source, Maintenance, and Recoverability (SMR) coding; and National Stock Number (NSN) assignment.
- · Ensure data for spare and repair parts is properly maintained. Ensure data for spare and repair parts is integrated into the wholesale logistics supply system and aircraft readiness.
- · Participate in technical publication validation and verification, design reviews, logistics demonstration, and test efforts.
