Information Security Analyst Senior

This is a full time TEMPORARY position; not to exceed six months.

HOW AN INFORMATION SECURITY ANALYST SENIOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

  • Ensures the cybersecurity Risk Management Framework (RMF) process and appropriate operational security posture is maintained and documented for the MTC USARPAC Type Training Enclaves and USARPAC Training Exercise Network
  • Provide guidance and support for Exercise cybersecurity planning and ATO attainment, process monitoring and auditing
  • Follows DoD Directives and Instructions 8140, 8570-01-M, AR 25-2, NIST Special Publications 800-53, 800-39, as well as following guidance from other cyber agencies in USARPAC CSPMO, NETCOM, and CYBERCOM 
  • Implements and maintains standard operating procedures, implementing DoD, Army and USARPAC JMSC-IP Type policies and procedures
  • Conducts scheduled SCANs of the training enclaves and systems
  • Validates applied STIGs and patches performed by the SAs and NAs. Updates and documents STIGs in response to vulnerabilities identified during risk assessments, audits and inspections 
  • Create required RMF products such as plans of action and milestones (POA&M) and STIG checklist
  • Performs continuous monitoring of applied STIGs and patches
  • Conducts periodic auditing to assess vulnerabilities of the network and systems
  • Produces artifacts and trackers, as well as other documents to meet the Security Control Assessment – Validation (SCA-V) requirement to maintain the USARPAC Type ATO
  • Maintains and updates records and artifacts into the Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS) system to support and comply with the RMF process
  • Assures successful implementation and functionality of security requirements and appropriate IT policies and procedures that are consistent with the organization's mission and goals 
  • Participates in special projects as required

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Education: BS/BA in computer science, information systems, engineering, cybersecurity or related field with concentration in computer based technology
  • Required Experience: 5+ years of related work experience; Advanced knowledge of both information technology and business issues
  • Required Technical Skills: Technical expertise in Information Systems Security; Advanced knowledge and practical application of eMASS; Advanced knowledge of the RMF process and STIG applications; CASP+ or CISSP is required
  • Security Clearance Level: SECRET clearance is required with the ability to obtain a TOP SECRET clearance
  • Required Skills and Abilities: Superb communication skills; strong ability to advise and educate leadership through non-technical terms on information systems security; Strong understanding of SCA-V processes and inspection preparation
  • Location: On Customer Site / moderate travel required to other customer sites throughout AoR
