Manufacturing Material Handler

NOV Chemineer is an original equipment manufacturer of mixing equipment produced in Dayton, Ohio for over 70 years. NOV has over 32,000 employees world-wide with approximately 200 employees at our custom OEM equipment Chemineer manufacturing facility in Dayton. We are looking for 3 additional Manufacturing Material Handlers. Wage is $22-$25 per hour depending on experience, with a shift premium of $2 per hour when working on the off-shifts. These 3 positions will be filled on 2nd or 3rd shift, with preference given to the first hires.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Effectively receive, store, and distribute materials to designated areas using appropriate equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and cranes.
- Utilize JDE and RF Smart systems to accurately track and manage inventory levels.
- Pick and prepare materials for production orders according to work orders and production schedules. Ensure timely delivery of materials to production lines.
- Assist with loading and unloading of trucks. Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing lists, ensuring accuracy and quality of received goods.
- Investigate inventory shortages or misplaced items.
- Maintain accurate record of all material movements, transactions, and adjustments in JDE and RF Smart systems.
- Pick and pack smaller orders for shipment, including placing in the proper packing and labeling the packages according to the contents. Prepare any necessary shipping documentation.
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures to maintain a safe working environment. Ensure compliance with all policies and requirements.
- Perform routine inspection and maintenance of material handling equipment. Report any concerns or non-compliance items to the supervisor.
- Work closely with production, warehouse, and quality control teams to ensure smooth material flow and address any issues prompt
- Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures.
- Perform other work-related tasks as assigned.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment working as a material handler, or equivalent.
- Experience with driving a forklift (standup and sitdown) and operating a crane. Must be able to certify on both.
- Experience with ERP/Systems for pulling, picking, transacting, and packing inventory items.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to pass a drug screen & background check.
- Must possess basic mechanical skills and aptitude for operating machinery.
- Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
- Able to work well in a team environment as well as self-directed when working independently.
- Ability to adapt and be cross-trained to learn all job duties.
- Physical demands include standing at the machine for up to 8-10 hours per day, frequent lifting up to 15 lbs. with occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Willingness to comply with all safety regulations and procedures.
- Ability to multitask in fast paced environment.
