Purpose
The Sarinay Cenik Lab (www.sarinayceniklab.org) is seeking a motivated and reliable undergraduate student to assist with laboratory management and general research support. This position provides hands-on experience in molecular biology research and lab organization, ideal for students interested in gaining laboratory experience in a dynamic research environment.
Responsibilities
Manage routine lab operations, including inventory and lab organization
Handle lab orders and related email correspondence with vendors and departmental staff
Prepare and aliquot common laboratory solutions and reagents
Assist with strain management and automated growth plate preparation/purging as needed
Support research personnel with experimental procedures or other lab tasks as assigned
Required Qualifications
Strong organizational and communication skills. Attention to detail and ability to follow protocols accurately. Reliability and initiative in completing assigned tasks. Prior laboratory experience preferred but not required. Must be able to commit to a consistent schedule (10–20 hours per week).
Hourly Range
$15.00 - $20.00 based on experience and departmental guidelines

Uniforms and/or personal protection equipment (furnished).
