Senior Software Engineer, Full-Stack

Job Description

We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer, Full-Stack to join Procore’s Construction Financials Division. In this role, You’ll own and lead critical projects, improve existing architecture, and contribute to enhancing Procore’s engineering ecosystem to keep improving construction financial management tools for our customers’ needs.

As a Senior Software Engineer, Full-Stack, you will partner with product, design, and architects to design complex systems, write quality and performant code, deploy to production, and take care of observability & monitoring. Use your Full-Stack experience to deliver software solutions that impact the way communities’ hospitals, homes, sports stadiums, and schools across the world are built.

This position reports to the engineering manager with the opportunity to be located in the Austin, TX office or work remotely from Austin, TX.

What you’ll do:

• Own and lead critical projects using React frontend and Ruby on Rails backend

• Collaborate with Engineering, Product, and Design to build solutions that delight users and solve critical business problems

• Deliver high-impact, scalable, and performant features to meet customer needs

• Participate in designing and building a system that is aligned with Procore’s technical vision of a service-oriented architecture

What we're looking for:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, a related field, or comparable work experience

• 5+ years of experience in Object-Oriented Programming fundamentals, Test Driven Development and Design principles

• Strong experience working on full-stack modern applications and frameworks with Ruby on Rails and React/Typescript

• Proven expertise in modern web development including development, testing, staging, deploying, and monitoring

• Understanding of the tradeoffs between technical, analytical, performance, and product goals, and adept at formulating solutions that balance all of these needs

• A curious mind that is driven to innovate and solve customer problems
