Job Description:
Join the Ariens Company Team as a Journeyworker Maintenance Mechanic!
Are you ready to take your career to the next level? Ariens Company is on the lookout for a dynamic and skilled Journeyworker Maintenance Mechanic to install and maintain machinery and equipment in our cutting-edge industrial establishment. If you’re passionate about machinery and thrive in a fast-paced environment, this is the perfect opportunity for you!
THE DAY TO DAY…
Read blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures
Dismantle machines and move machinery and equipment
Assemble and install equipment such as shafting, conveyors, and tram rails
Align machines and equipment for optimal performance
Assemble machines and secure them to foundations or other structures using bolts, welds, rivets, etc.
Repair and lubricate machines and equipment to keep them running smoothly
Install robots and modify their programs for efficiency
Install/troubleshoot electrical panels, wiring, and transformers according to the National Electrical Code
Ensure machine safety requirements are in place and followed
Participate and train as needed with Machine TPM programs
THE QUALIFICATIONS…
Completion of a State Licensed Journeyworker Apprenticeship Program required
A minimum of 5 years of professional experience preferred
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot CNC equipment and equipment with PLCs
Must be able to perform complex diagnostic, repair, and preventive activities in at least two of the following categories:
Electrical (facility or machinery)
Complex hydraulic or pneumatic systems
CNC machines
CNC controllers
Electronic repairs
Complex mechanical systems
HVAC knowledge
THE WORK ENVIRONMENT…
Ability to stand and/or walk for 8+ hours a day
Must be able to use hands to position parts in place
Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds
Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment
