Job Description Summary
Manages the daily operations of Advanced Manufacturing Open Enrollment programs and supports NC Edge Customized Training initiatives through program planning, coordination, delivery, and continuous improvement. The position oversees course scheduling, instructors, facilities, equipment, budgets, student services, and regulatory compliance while supporting instructional activities as needed. The coordinator develops workforce training programs, leads marketing, recruitment, and outreach efforts, builds partnerships with business, industry, K-12, and community organizations, and collaborates with college faculty and staff to support workforce pathways. The position also manages program data, reporting, and assessments, maintains proficiency in college and state-required software systems, participates in professional development, and supports the College’s mission, values, and commitment to diversity while performing other duties as assigned.
Duties
1. Manages the operations of Advanced Manufacturing Open Enrollment programs and support NC Edge Customized Training initiatives, including program planning, scheduling, delivery, evaluation, and continuous improvement.
2. Coordinates instructional operations by scheduling classes, securing and supervising adjunct instructors, assigning facilities, coordinating equipment and instructional resources, and ensuring efficient program delivery.
3. Develops, implements, and maintains training programs and instructional materials that align with industry needs, workforce demands, and College objectives.
4. Provides instructional support and assist with classroom, laboratory, and training activities as needed.
5. Manages the administrative functions of training programs, including course registration, class setup, student records, state compliance documentation, scholarship coordination, and accurate completion of required reports.
6. Assists with coordination of the operation of the Advanced Manufacturing Center, including instructional projects, inventory management, procurement of supplies and materials, and maintenance and repair of instructional equipment.
7. Develops and implements marketing, recruitment, and outreach strategies utilizing the Continuing Education catalog, website, social media, presentations, and community engagement activities to increase awareness and enrollment.
3. Develops, implements, and maintains training programs and instructional materials that align with industry needs, workforce demands, and College objectives.

8. Builds and maintains collaborative partnerships with business and industry, K-12 school systems, workforce agencies, economic development organizations, correctional institutions, nonprofit organizations, and other community stakeholders to support workforce development initiatives.
9. Coordinates and expands K-12 workforce development initiatives, including pre-apprenticeship programs, career awareness events, student orientations, facility tours, and other career pathway activities.
10. Collaborates with curriculum faculty and staff to support program alignment, credential pathways, articulation opportunities, and workforce education initiatives.
11. Assists with budget development and management, including training requests, funding requests, purchasing, and monitoring expenditures in coordination with the Director of Economic & Workforce Development.
12. Collects, analyzes, and maintains program data to support annual reporting, program assessment, compliance, accreditation requirements, continuous improvement, and strategic decision-making.
13. Represents the College and Workforce Development division by providing information to prospective students, employers, business partners, and community organizations and by participating in recruitment events, advisory committees, and professional meetings.
14. Maintains proficiency in state-mandated software and College information systems and participate in professional development activities to remain current with workforce trends, instructional practices, and College procedures.
15. Supports the College’s Vision, Mission, Values, and RISE principle and promotes an inclusive and diverse learning environment.
16. Perform other duties as assigned.
