Your New Role...

Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products Inc. seeks an Associate, Global Franchise Management and Marketing.  Under direction of the Director, Global Franchise Management and Marketing for Global Themed Entertainment and Sr Manager, Global Franchise Management, the Associate is responsible for supporting WBDCP’s Live Action Theatrical Consumer Products and Global Themed Entertainment. Role includes the support of the licensee relationship with our third-party partners and the review of all marketing, promotional and brand submissions. The Associate will need to establish relationships with the WBDCP category management team as well as the Global Themed Entertainment team to work seamlessly across projects.  This includes coordination with all other necessary internal WBD departments and divisions (i.e. retail, sales, creative, finance, international, franchise development, etc.) to facilitate execution of all projects and materials in a professional and timely manner.

Your Role Accountabilities...

  • Reviews, routes and approves all Global licensee and retailer marketing submissions for the Live Action Theatrical Franchises.

  • Reviews, routes and approves marketing submissions for Harry Potter and other Live Action Theatrical Global Themed Entertainment

  • Develops materials for franchise presentation decks, licensee and retailer pitch decks, sizzle videos, and similar related materials needed to drive the brand. 

  • Assists with acquisition, development, approval and use of Theatrical, WBIE, and TV assets. 

  • Obtains necessary internal, external and 3rd party approvals (including but not limited to Legal, Brand Assurance usage rights, and Talent) for all CP and GTE driven marketing materials and assets for licensees and promotional partners.  

  • Maintains Brand Assurance guidelines and ensures timely updates and team communication. 

  • Coordinates outside resources, agencies, and vendors, along with associated deadlines for development, budget and delivery. 

  • Supports Vice President, Global Franchise Management and Marketing with special projects including but not limited to annual trade show activation.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience...

  • 1-3 years’ experience in the Entertainment industry and/or Licensing is a plus 

  • Four-year college degree required. Coursework emphasis in business/marketing strongly preferred.

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and presentation software programs required

  • Clear understanding and demonstrated working application of marketing principles required

  • Deep knowledge of the Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts stories required. 

  • Strong writing and grammar skills and ability to clearly articulate point of view

  • Must have the ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with persons on all levels and cultures, in-person and virtually

  • Must have the ability to pay close attention to detail and understand written and oral instructions

  • Knowledge of digital platforms and media marketing tools and trends

  • A proactive, solutions-oriented problem-solver who excels at creative ideation and follow-through

  • Must have the ability to organize, schedule and prioritize work effectively

  • Must have the ability to work well under time constraints

  • Multiple language proficiency a plus
