About the role:

As the GBS Talent lead, you will enable GBS Talent services at scale, simplify processes and transactions, and deliver a great employee experience. You will lead a team performing Talent-related processes located in the different GBS hubs in Łódź (Poland), Monterrey (Mexico), KL (Malaysia), and Hyderabad (India).  This role is key to delivering quality services to business leaders, managers, employees, and the HR community. To be successful in this role, you will need an operational excellence mindset, the ability to lead and drive a global team, and a customer/service-oriented mindset. You will lead and manage the GBS Talent teams (both local and remote), providing guidance, training, and support to maintain their high motivation level and ensure high performance and achievement of departmental objectives. You will report directly to the VP of HR Services, Digital, and Analytics and have a dotted reporting line to the CoE for Talent.

 

Key responsibilities:

  •  Accountable for the overall delivery of GBS services related to Talent, including Talent Acquisition, Talent and Performance Management, and Learning & Development.
  • Ensure consistency of services by the GBS hubs and alignment on key priorities with the global CoE Leads within the CoE Talent team.
  • Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements set by CoE Talent.
  • Accountable for meeting and striving to exceed KPI targets, and operating as an escalation point of contact across the different regions.
  • Support the HR GBS Lead as the GBS HR Function grows—transition and successfully commence operations for new work activities, including a new scope of services and additional clients.
  • Identify, implement, and ensure adherence to SLAs in alignment with HR Services, CoE Talent, and the wider GBS organization.
  • Accountable for service process documentation, desktop procedures, and knowledge base articles for assisted support.
  • Accountable for leading a diverse team and building team capability.
  • Accountable for contributing to the global standard design for processes.
  • Support the Hire-to-Retire Global Process Owner and CoE Talent in driving standardization and continuous improvement.
  • Support the team in solving highly complex inquiries.
  • Create time schedules for the team, managing resources around peaks/troughs, holidays, etc.
  • Support the team in daily business if the situation requires it.
  • Act according to the Barry Callebaut Leadership Principles.

 

About you:

  • Minimum 8-10 years of experience in the HR field or in an SSC/BPO environment including at least 5 years of experience in leadership positions.
  • Experience working within Talent CoE / with Talent processes including Recruitment and People Development.
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office.
  • Fluent in English – verbal and written, other regional languages appreciated [e.g. French, German, Dutch, Spanish].
  • Excellent leadership, people management, and project management skills.
  • Comprehensive skills related to operational excellence & service management & control.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and influencing skills with the ability and confidence to operate at senior levels with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to think strategically, ensuring that HR priorities are aligned with business objectives.
  • Proficiency in using HR systems and strong analytical skills.
  • Flexibility and ability to operate and deliver under pressure.
  • Proactive and decision-making skills.
