Senior Network Engineer

The Role:

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Network Engineer to enhance our LAN/WAN infrastructure, bolster network security, and support our growth with scalable and reliable network solutions.

What You'll Do:

• Implement and maintain corporate LAN/WAN infrastructure including switches, routers, circuits, and Wi-Fi.
• Lead our network security by managing network firewalls and zero-trust solutions.
• Leverage APIs to write scripts/playbooks capable of supporting network services programmatically.
• Provide network support by leading incidents, problem management, technical reviews, documentation, office buildouts, and network redundancy testing.  
• Monitor network performance using tools such as PRTG, LogicMonitor, Solarwinds, etc.
• Partner and conduct security audits and penetration tests to assess the network's security and identify vulnerabilities. 

What We’re Looking For:

• 5+ years of experience as a network engineer in a high paced environment.
• Proficient with automation and configuration tools, including Python, Ansible, and REST APIs.
• Expert Experience with Cisco and Palo Alto firewalls, routers, switches.
• Wireless experience with Mist or Cisco Meraki Enterprise access points.
• Experience with configuring and managing zero-trust and network access control solutions (Cisco ISE, ZScaler, Palo Alto Prisma Access, Aruba Clearpass).
• Proven expertise in SD-WAN planning, design, implementation, and operations.
• Experience in setup and maintaining of wireless authentication (WPA2/3-Enterprise, 802.1x)
• Experience with AWS VPC, Transit Gateways, Direct Connect, VPC’s.
• Advanced knowledge of network protocols like BGP, OSPF, VXLAN, HSRP, ACL’s).
• Proficient with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools like Wireshark, OpenNMS, LogicMonitor, Solarwinds, or Splunk is a plus.
• Professional certification (e.g., CCNA, CCNP) is preferred. 

FHI employees are expected to be on-site 4-days per week. We also offer the unique benefit of allowing employees to temporarily working from anywhere up to 20 days per year.

The salary range for this position is $152,000 to $205,000 which represents base pay only and does not include short-term or long-term incentive compensation. When determining base pay, as part of a final compensation package, we consider several factors such as location, experience, qualifications, and training.
