Position Summary:
Florida Atlantic is seeking a SAS Accessibility Consultant - Coordinator, Boca Raton, FL
Summary of Responsibilities:
Responsible for ascertaining and providing for the special needs of FAU students with disabilities, particularly students with medical, psychological, physical, learning, hearing, and visual disabilities. This includes assessing needs in the academic setting; reviewing disability documentation (DSM V and ICD Codes); counseling students regarding disability related issues and academics; and ensuring the provision of approved accommodations.
Knowledge of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Section 504 and 508 of the Rehabilitation Act.
Responsible for coordinating the Workforce Recruitment Program, collaborating Vocational Rehabilitation Program, Career Source of Palm Beach and serving as the liaison to the Career Center.
Responsible for creating and delivering presentations at FAU and within the community and creating programming for Disability Awareness throughout the year.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned by the Director of SAS.

Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization; or a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution n an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience.Salary:
$40,000 - $42,000 per year.Exempt Administrative, Managerial, Professional (AMP)
