Job Description
QAD has a Supply Chain Functional Principal Consultant position available in our Services team. The position focuses on implementation of the DSCP (Digital Supply Chain Planning) solutions from an E2E standpoint on the functional and business side at client site. Your responsibilities will include consulting our customers, analyzing customer requirements, Design Solutions, collaborating closely with the Project Management and Development team, System setup and configuration etc.. This position reports directly to the Resource Manager - Demand Supply Chain Planning.
These positions are fully remote and based in the U.S.
This position will require traveling approximately 20% of time to client sites.
What you’ll do:
- Develop business process / functional / application specifications / solution set up in line with system design specifications for client engagements.
- Review and edit requirements, specifications, business processes and recommendations related to proposed solution in line with DSCP project Methodology and standards.
- Identify client SCM (Supply Chain Management) IT landscape and organization's strengths and weaknesses and suggest areas of improvement.
- Communicate on a permanent basis with development / & partners of the delivery team.
- Identify client SCM IT landscape in connection with the overall client IT landscape.
- Responsible for the analysis, consulting, set up, training and assistance services during customer startup, ensuring compliance with quality, lead time and specifications.
- Validate the proposed solutions and carry the project through to successful completion. Assignment ends when the solution is in operational use by the customer.
- Handle different / several projects varying between 4 and 12+ months duration.
- Responsible for Business Process Workbook. Validate business solutions and ensure timelines and schedules are met.
- Act as the most knowledgeable services resource in the region with respect to at least one area (be the subject matter expert) and utilize the entire Supply Chain team.
- Mentors and trains other team members for knowledge transfer
- Understand the capabilities and functions of almost all QAD modules.
- Supports PMs in Project Plan activities and supports BDMs with complex or difficult estimations
Qualifications
- Minimum 6 years QAD implementation experience within subject area/specialty, or 5 years in non-QAD subject/specialty area with 2 years (or lifespan of product) of QAD experience.
- Minimum 8 years of consulting experience in the industry handling services customer projects and/or worked in supply chain planning domain/industries or 15 years of other work experience.
- Supply Chain Planning Software Implementation experience required
- Graduate degree, or Baccalaureate degree ideally in Supply Chain, Engineering, Industrial Mfg. Mgmt, or related discipline, with extensive experience as Consultant with a Consulting company, a Supply Chain software publisher
- Complete background in supply chain demand planning
- Understanding the SCM (Supply Chain Management) business issues, data challenges and IT architecture of client's organization and industry (CG, Retail, Life Science…)
- Analytical and Conceptual thinking on SCM (Supply Chain Management) functions from the Strategic to the execution levels (Forecasting, Replenishment, Production, Planning, …)
- Able to take an enterprise view of solution architecture.
- Understanding how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully & manages client expectations effectively.
- Experience in setting up Supply Chain Planning solutions is required.
- Fluent in English and excellent writing skills
- Self-sufficient, rigorous, pragmatic yet creative and with the necessary endurance
Additional Skills Preferred:
- Knowledgeable in Supply Chain Planning applications, including but not limited to: Blue Yonder (i2, Manugistics, E3), Oracle DemandTra VCP/VCE, SAP APO/IBP, Infor SCM/IBP, FM, AZAP…
- Experience in cloud base application & architecture is a plus.
- Former experience in the area of Supply Chain Planning prefe
