Business Operations is the glue of DE&E Technology, with a relentless focus on connecting all the pieces of the business. All the components that make up the organization – engineering, product, design, operations, support and more – come together and move the business forward with oversight, effective prioritization, and guidance. This team synthesizes information from across the business to ensure leaders are armed with all the necessary data before making strategic and financial decisions. From forecasting, funding, tracking, and reporting on projects, to ways of working, and resource management, Business Operations has visibility and input into all aspects of the team.

Overview of role: 

This team supports a client specific commerce interface designed to promote iterative experimentation, solve for tomorrow’s challenges & unlock merchandising capabilities for all experiences across streaming services. Serving as a presentation-layer API, this team offers configurable templates to user-facing clients, empowering stakeholders to personalize user experiences and accelerate subscriber growth.

A Sr Technical Program Manager will be tasked with helping to understand the team roadmap, and capacity against it.  They will with the team to ensure they are focused on the right priorities, partnering with other teams across the organization for alignment, developing timelines for delivery, understanding the dependencies and driving Programs for delivery.  We do require candidates to have a technical aptitude to be able to lead/drive technical conversations and outcomes.

  

Responsibilities include:

● Lead the release of many large, complex projects from concept to completion by collaborating with engineering teams, product management and developing detailed project plans from development to deployment

● Understand architectural and design specifications. Suggest alternate solutions that achieve business goals and/or drive alternate solutions in order to meet objectives

● Track team progress against timelines and collaborate with teams to determine solutions to get back on-track when the project falls behind schedule

● Engage with the development team to build delivery timelines of feature sets for projects, and be able to sequence the work based on priorities

● Collaborate with other Program Managers to understand cross-team dependencies and prioritize the work to avoid impediments

● Ability to breakdown and reconstruct a problem for better visibility amongst stakeholders, and aim to resolve in a timely fashion

● Ability to prioritize multiple team requests and balance that against other priorities and committed work. Must understand the impact of injecting these requests to the team’s backlog

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in software program management

  • Experience in shipping multiple features or products simultaneously

  • Experience in Agile software development

  • Solid understanding of systems architecture, testing, design, and implementation

  • Ability to actively identify dependencies/risks and work with engineering counterparts to mitigate these

  • Ability to interact with a diverse set of technical and non-technical
