BASIC PURPOSE: Musket Corporation is seeking a highly analytical and commercially driven Senior Gasoline Trader to lead gasoline trading activities across the Gulf Coast, New York Harbor, and Colonial Pipeline markets. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in physical and paper markets, strong command of swaps, futures, and arbitrage, and a proven track record of profit generation. This role is responsible for developing and executing trading strategies that optimize value across domestic and international markets, leveraging both commercial insight and strong market relationships.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead commercial gasoline trading across Gulf Coast (USGC), NYH, and Colonial Pipeline markets.
- Execute both physical trades and financial instruments (NYMEX futures, ICE swaps, OTC derivatives) to optimize margin and manage risk.
- Capitalize on international arbitrage opportunities (e.g., LatAm, Europe) through active market analysis and relationship management.
- Monitor evolving market fundamentals (supply/demand, logistics, specs, pricing indices) and translate insights into actionable trading strategies.
- Develop and manage strong counterparty and terminal relationships across the value chain: refiners, marketers, blenders, and other trading houses.
- Contribute to broader refined products strategy, new market entry, and deal structuring.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with logistics, operations, scheduling, analytics, and senior leadership.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Education:
- High school Diploma or equivalent required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field
Experience:
- 5+ years of gasoline or refined products trading experience, including both physical and derivatives markets.
- Proven track record in spec gasoline trading (RBOB, CBOB, blendstocks).
- Strong commercial understanding of the Colonial Pipeline system, Gulf Coast/NYH arbitrage, and related logistics.
- Deep expertise in swaps, futures, hedging, and exposure management.
- Strong grasp of global arbitrage flows and experience in international markets.
- Strong analytical skills with ability to make fast, informed decisions under market pressure.
- Entrepreneurial drive with a collaborative, growth-oriented mindset.
- Experience working in a global trading house, integrated oil company, or independent refineries
