BAM is seeking a Temporary Part Time Manager, Cinema Front of House!  The ideal manager will temporarily lead Front of House Operations for BAM Rose Cinemas, ensuring clear, thoughtful communication and accountability between BAM Leadership and BRC FOH team of Asst Managers and Floor Staff, and assist Director of Cinema Operations in FOH planning for both PJS and KBH cinema operations. This position is responsible for keeping the team motivated and performing at its best and ensure that patrons have a welcoming experience at the BAM Rose Cinemas.

 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  

 

  • Staff management:
    • Serve as a key communication point between FOH staff and the organization, ensuring clear job expectations, policies, and practices
    • Manage weekly staff schedule, including time off requests, coverage, payroll memos, and other schedule logistics
    • Partner with Director of Cinema Operations to hire and onboard new floor staff
    • Offer consistent and frequent feedback and encourage a culture of mutual staff respect, support, and accountability
    • Lead on customer service training staff to training and supporting staff to resolve customer service issues effectively
    • Partner with Director of Cinema Operations and HR as needed to manage conflict resolution
  • Engagement:
    • Lead bi-weekly management staff meetings
    • Lead monthly floor staff meetings

 

  • Financial and vendor management:
    • Manage relationships with vendors
    • Ensure timely maintenance as needed
    • Manage invoices, recodes, budget modifications, vendor payments, and PV tracking system for Cinema payables; approve purchases within budget in consultation with Director of Cinema Operations

 

  • Event oversight:
    • Partner with Programming team to oversee the successful execution of weekly talkbacks, discussions, and intros. Submit event reports to key stakeholders

 

  • Staff management and engagement:
    • Conduct 1:1 meetings with asst managers and floor staff
    • Execute one pulse survey during the temporary period, to continue to track progress in culture-building
    • Deliver weekly Floor and Management email digests
    • With director of cinema operations, execute staff recognition activities and development initiatives
    • Liaise as needed to facilitate access to rehearsal studios for cinema staff
