Senior Data Scientist I

Shipt, Inc. seeks a full-time Senior Data Scientist I based in San Francisco, CA. Assist with further boosting the rigor of our statistical modeling and data analysis approaches. This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Econometrics, or relevant STEM field (foreign equivalent accepted) and 2 years of experience in proffered position or similar position (e.g., Data Scientist, Mathematical Statistician, Data Analyst, Statistical Analyst, Research Scientist). Work experience must also include at least 2 years of experience with the following: (1) developing and deploying large scale machine learning models in production; (2) experimentation and general statistical modeling (e.g., hypothesis testing, causal inference, study design); (3) data analytics, event instrumentation, and data visualization (e.g., Tableau); (4) SQL skills; and (5) a statistical scripting language (e.g., R, Python). Salary: $121,487 to $242,974/year. This position is hybrid. A candidate may work from the company’s San Francisco address or from the candidate’s home address, which must be within commuting distance (which may include the San Jose – Sunnyvale - Santa Clara CA area), as authorized by a manager.
