We’re searching for a Software Engineer to join Aurora’s Behavioral Data Engine team. 

The Behavioral Data Engine team’s charter is to champion the data-driven processes for all our behavioral development and validation. We will do this by delivering metrics, data, models and automation to support evaluation and data-driven improvement of Driver behavior.

In this role, you will:

• Design, develop, and validate onboard and off-board autonomy software.
• Develop tools for increasing the development speed of building and evaluating autonomy software.
• Develop tools for introspection, visualization, and performance analysis.
• Improve the performance of autonomy systems through architectural and algorithmic optimizations

 

Required Qualifications 

• Experience developing software using Python.
• Experience developing in a Linux or Unix environment.
• Experience with cloud automation.
• Experience with data pipelines and BI tools (i.e. dashboards

 

Desirable Qualifications (this section is optional)

• Experience developing software using C++.
• Experience in Self Driving / Autonomy Driving or Robotics or Maps
• Experience with ML development tooling and infrastructure
• Experience with backend infrastructure (e.g., data pipelines, schema design/data models, distributed storage systems, backend microservices, API design)
• Distributed System design patterns (high availability, scaling, load balancing, caching, sharding etc.)

Pay Range 

The base range for this position is $189,000 - $245,000.  Aurora’s pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, the successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on factors including job-related skills, experience, qualifications, relevant education or training, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future. The successful candidate will also be eligible for an annual bonus, equity compensation, and benefits.
