Your Responsibilities 

 

 As a Senior Financial Analyst for John Deere Financial, located in Johnston, Iowa, you will...

 

• Support the IT and Product Management groups with budgeting and business counseling and coordination and preparation of management reports. 

 

In addition, you will:

 

• Provide ad-hoc requests for analysis and/or information related to the business.
• Provide cost analysis used for strategic decision-making.
• Provide financial counsel to management and other functional disciplines in area of expertise.
• Provide management reports related to Selling, General and Administrative (SA&G) tracking.
• Prepare accounting entries related to monthly cost deferrals.

What Skills You Need

 

• 5 or more years of experience in an accounting, finance, or audit role
• Solid understanding of financial concepts such as Budgets, Discounted Cash Flow (DCF), Return on Investment (ROI), Operating Return on Assets (OROA), Shareholder Value Added (SVA), etc.
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy
• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) or equivalent
• Knowledge of accounting systems of internal control and the relationship to disclosure and financial reporting
• Experience with digitalization/reporting tools (PowerQuery, PowerBI, etc.)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Experience in banking
• Experience with Profit by Product

 

Education

 

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

 

• Bachelor's degree in an Accounting or Finance discipline
