Join the University of Cincinnati's College of Engineering and Applied Science as a Computer & Information Analyst Lead, and become an integral part of our Digital Technology Services team. Essential Functions
- Primarily supports the overall technology needs for the academic departments within the College of Engineering and Applied Science.
- Hardware and software installation, with configuration and administration of end-user desktop and mobile computing devices.
- Troubleshoots, analyzes and resolves problems associated with the system hardware, operating systems, software / applications.
- Ensures compliance with security standards and practices to protect against system vulnerabilities by having a focus on remediation across the college.
- Provide advanced support for computing needs across faculty, staff and graduate student offices, and research labs, supporting multiple platforms including Windows, Mac, Linux, and mobile devices.
- Participates in IT asset management, technology specification and purchasing, email moderation, software license compliance and audio-visual support.
- Collaborate with DTS and DTS CEAS IT teams to align technology support with academic teaching and research needs; communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintain flexible work hours to support users outside of standard times and engage in research projects subject to ITAR regulations, requiring US citizenship or Green Card.
- Effectively communicates with internal and external stakeholders, especially with faculty, researchers and students. Serves on committees and project teams. Serves as an expert resource to others.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Education
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related field.
Four (4) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.
Required Experience
Relevant work experience considered.
Additional Qualifications Considered
- Demonstrated experience in Windows, Mac, and Linux desktop support.
- Experience with audio visual technologies is a plus.
- Previous engineering experience, particularly with engineering software.
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Superior written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, adapting to varying team dynamics.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where constructive feedback is common.
