The role
The role will report to Transformation Director

Location for this position is Stockholm (Sickla) .

Purpose of role

As Head of Data, AI & Automation, you will lead the unified Centre of Excellence responsible for setting the strategic direction and accelerating value creation across data platforms, decision intelligence, AI (including GenAI and Agentic AI), and intelligent automation.

The role has a strong strategic, leadership, and business alignment focus. You will define vision, priorities, governance, and roadmaps, ensuring coherence across capabilities and enabling the organisation to fully leverage data, AI, and automation at scale.

You will be supported by dedicated platform engineering functional leads, as well as Product Owners for Decision Intelligence and Automation, allowing you to focus on strategy formulation, innovation, operating models, and value realisation, while maintaining a solid understanding of modern architectures, model lifecycles, and automation paradigms.

Responsibilities of role

Strategy, Direction & Business Alignment:
•    Define and own the end-to-end strategy for Data, AI & Automation, aligned with Intrum Sweden’s business strategy, regulatory context, and transformation priorities.
•    Translate strategic ambitions into clear capability roadmaps, balancing near-term value delivery with long-term platform and capability build-up.
•    Act as a trusted partner to senior business leaders, ensuring initiatives are business-driven, outcome-focused, and measurable.

Leadership & Operating Model:
•    Lead the combined Data, AI & Automation CoE, establishing clear ownership, governance, and ways of working across domains.
•    Provide senior leadership to Product Owners and functional leads, ensuring alignment across platforms, priorities, and delivery.
•    Drive strong collaboration across Technology, Operations, Risk, Legal, Compliance, and global Intrum counterparts.

Innovation, AI & Automation Enablement:
•    Drive innovation across Decision Intelligence, Advanced Analytics, GenAI, and Agentic Automation, identifying opportunities where autonomous or semi-autonomous solutions can transform complex, end-to-end processes.
•    Promote reuse, scalability, and industrialisation of AI and automation capabilities rather than siloed solutions.
•    Establish responsible AI practices, ensuring transparency, explainability, risk management, and regulatory compliance.

Portfolio, Prioritisation & Roadmapping:
•    Establish structured portfolio and demand management across data, AI, and automation initiatives.
•    Ensure transparent prioritisation based on business value, feasibility, risk, and strategic alignment.
•    Track outcomes, benefits realisation, and capability maturity progression.

Architecture, Governance & Lifecycle Oversight:
•    Ensure coherent end-to-end architecture across data platforms, analytics, AI models, and automation technologies.
•    Oversee governance frameworks covering data management, AI/ML lifecycle, GenAI usage, security, and compliance.
•    Collaborate with global Intrum teams to align local needs with global platforms, standards, and reusable assets.
