Overview

The Director Commercial Sales Planning allies with Trade Development and Sales Execution to communicate supplier priorities, identify customer trends and needs, and provide account level feedback aimed at driving brand performance.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Align with trade and demand planners to ensure proper inventory forecasts are made based on trends, commercial insights, and programming
  • Analyze, develop, and roll out communication of supplier priorities to allow sales leadership to execute sales in the most efficient and targeted way possible.
  • Conducts sales meetings with team to review performance, get feedback and communicate upcoming sales priorities
  • Collaborate with Trade Development Directors on Supplier Steps to Plan and Opportunity Trackers
  • Enters Sales Commits into E2Open for RTM partners
  • Attend MPP and Top Supplier Meetings as the voice of Sales 
  • Provide current sales and syndicated trends for supplier and key focus brands as well as state of the business, issues, opportunities, and trend drivers

Additional Primary Responsibilities

  • Monitor sales performance against Sales Commit in PACE, updates Sales Leadership and provides mitigation ideas when needed.
  • Conducts weekly meetings with Sales Leadership to provide key points from Supplier meetings about new items, programming and brand strategies or supplier plans for the market.
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Seven years of relevant experience
  • Deep understanding of end-to-end business process from planning through execution
  • Proven experience in influencing, presenting, articulating, and driving change to Executive Leadership as well as functional teams is required
  • Ability to embed a cross-functional culture of harmonization of goals and objectives, process improvement, and value creation required
  • Experience with planning tools and multi-project environments

Physical Demands

  • Physical demands with activity or condition for a considerable amount of time include sitting and typing/keyboarding using a computer (e.g., keyboard, mouse, and monitor) or adding machine
  • Physical demands with activity or condition may include occasional to the rare amount of time include walking, bending, reaching, standing, and stooping
  • May require occasional lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 20lbs
  • Critical nature of this job may require extended hours, overtime and weekends
