SkillBridge Logistics Specialist

NOTE: This is specific to Active Duty personnel interested in SkillBridge and located in the Vandenberg Space Force Base, CA area. You Must have a minimum of 3 months of eligible and approved Skillbridge Internship available.

Paragon Cyber Solutions is partnering with our Armed Forces to provide mentoring and employment opportunities for Veterans that are transitioning into the Private Sector after selflessly serving our Nation. The Department of Defense has implemented the SkillBridge Intern program to provide Veterans with opportunities to gain "civilian experience" prior to ending their military career. Veterans bring a wealth of experience, discipline and energy, and we understand the significant value of hiring Veterans.

DoD SkillBridge Eligibility:

• Has served at least 180 days on active duty
• Is within 12 months of separation or retirement
• Will receive an honorable discharge
• Has taken any service TAPS/TGPS

• A cover letter stating what and why you would like to use SkillBridge. Your cover letter should also contain:
  • Name, Military Branch (Air Force, Space Force, Army, Navy, Marines), and Rank.

  • An introduction and background information for yourself.
  • A brief description of your current AFSC/MOS.
  • Which SkillBridge Opportunity you are applying to, and you must include a location.

Step3: Received Unit Commander (first O-4/Field Grade commander in chain of command) written authorization and approval to participate in DoD SkillBridge Program prior to start of internship.

Requirements

• Perform physical inventory of parts and materials
• Create/update spreadsheets and reports on findings
• Perform Physical inventory of GSA vehicles
• Inspect vehicles for discrepancies and document findings

• Validate Equipment Maintenance Records

• Must be able to stand for long periods, bend to reach items under desks, work outside in the heat and in areas without air conditioning

• Must be able to lift heavy cartons to open and perform required inventory data collection and repack items back into original packaging

• Must be proficient in MS Excel

• Other activities, duties, and responsibilities assigned.
