JR / MID Project Coordinator - Space Programs

Peraton is seeking a JR / MID Project Coordinator in our Chantilly, VA office in support of our Department of Defense (DoD) customer as part of a highly talented, highly motivated, and high-performing team. What you'll do:
- Perform a variety of coordination activities including but not limited to personnel, administrative and programmatic duties in support of government customer program
- Manage personnel onboarding process through JIira-based program personnel tracker
- Coordinate candidate interview scheduling between hiring manager, interview panel, and recruiting team
- Maintain program position vacancy, new employee, and program position tracking database.
- Coordinate and provision new employee resources including office space, IT equipment, and access to IT systems
- Track assignment of and coordination with new employee Peraton assigned mentors
- Track program team internal and company-wide compliance training requirements and certifications
- Support as backup in maintaining JIRA-based program procurement management tracker; coordinate between program manager and procurement specialists to ensure timely ordering and delivery of program materials; compiles, records, and tracks pertinent purchasing data for program hardware, software, licenses.
- Support the entire team with “care and feeding” and coordinating morale events
- Other duties as assigned by the program director and program management deputy director
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- This position requires the candidate possess a minimum of Top Secret clearance with ability to upgrade to TS/SCI. Contract requires TS/SCI. The candidate must maintain the clearance.
- Bachelors degree with 2+ years of experience; OR Associates degree with 4+ years of experience; OR Masters degree. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- Proficiency in creating and updating spreadsheets, including generating metrics (e.g., via bar charts, sand charts, pie charts, etc.) using MS Excel software
- Proficiency in Atlassian Jira tool or equivalent tracking systems
- Demonstrated experience using MS Office products (e.g., MS Word, PowerPoint) and using the Internet
Desired Qualifications:
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) and organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize work and meet quick turnaround deadlines
- Detail- and process-oriented
- Ability to see problems and work to assist others to correct them

Target Salary Range
$86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.Apply for this role
