Role
You will lead Ethyca’s Deployment Strategy function - overseeing all client-facing implementation, strategy, and services delivery across complex enterprise accounts. Reporting to the CEO and working closely with product and engineering, you’ll own the full deployment lifecycle from presales design through live enterprise environments, directly managing and mentoring a team of Forward Deployed Engineers and Project Managers. You will also serve as a senior executive partner to clients, ensuring that Ethyca’s solutions deliver measurable value and drive long-term success. This is a player-coach role: you’ll build the systems and processes to make deployment scalable, while also personally shaping customer strategy and outcomes for our most strategic partners.Responsibilities
- Lead and scale Ethyca’s client-facing deployment team — including project managers, forward deployed engineers, and future strategists — with clear KPIs for efficiency, consistency, and customer success.
- Develop and implement standardized deployment playbooks, processes, and tools to reduce time-to-value and improve repeatability across enterprise engagements.
- Own executive-level relationships with client stakeholders, including C-suite sponsors, aligning technical delivery to business value.
- Serve as the senior escalation point and strategic partner for ~12 ongoing complex deployments; ensure client issues are resolved with urgency and care.
- Act as a consultative solution partner during pre-sales and implementation phases, helping clients understand how Ethyca can address their privacy, governance, and compliance needs.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Product, Legal, and Engineering to ensure client feedback and roadmap alignment.
- Measure and optimize team throughput; establish systems for tracking deployment velocity, customer satisfaction, and post-deployment success.
- Hire selectively and intentionally as the team scales, using structured hiring practices to maintain a high-performance bar.
What Success Looks Like (First 6–12 Months):
- Reduced deployment cycle time by 30%
- 90%+ adoption of new deployment playbooks
- 15% growth in client expansion revenue
- Executive sponsor relationships established at top 5 clients
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in client delivery, forward deployment, technical program management, or solution consulting, with significant leadership responsibilities.
- Proven success leading complex, global enterprise deployments in a fast-paced software or data infrastructure environment (e.g., privacy, security, cloud, AI, or data governance).
- Experience building operational systems (playbooks, templates, KPIs) that enable scaling client delivery teams.
- Demonstrated ability to manage high-performing cross-functional teams — ideally in startup or high-growth environments.
- Executive presence: able to confidently navigate enterprise client conversations, including at the C-suite level.
- Excellent project and stakeholder management skills with a bias for structured execution and clarity.
- Working knowledge of data privacy laws (e.g. GDPR, CCPA), data infrastructure, or AI governance is a plus.
- Bonus: Experience at companies with structured deployment models (e.g., Palantir, Stripe, Snowflake, Databricks, or similar)
