Job Overview
Provide executive-level leadership, vision, strategic planning, oversight, and coordination of units within the Division of Administration and Finance and across the university in support of related activities. The Sr. Associate Vice President of Operations works in collaboration with internal and external partners in the creation, enhancement, coordination, and assessment of projects and services that impact the campus community.
Essential Functions
- Provide vision, oversight, and effective management of units in the Division of Administration and Finance (Campus Services, Facilities & Utilities, and Environmental Health & Safety).
- Ensure the operational objectives, policies, and practices align with the strategic plan and goals of the University.
- Identify, recommend, and implement new processes, technologies, and systems to improve and streamline organizational processes and use of resources and materials.
- Collaborate with and engage stakeholders to develop and meet institutional goals while providing expertise and guidance on projects.
- Oversee the planning, preparation, and administration of the budget, exercising proper financial controls.
- Establish, communicate, and implement policies, practices, standards, and security measures to ensure effective and consistent support and execution.
- Ensure that all programs and services comply with relevant state and federal laws, State of Ohio regulations, and university policies.
- Enhance, assess, and lead the implementation of strategy and operational practices for maintaining a safe campus environment.
- Advance the university’s mission, vision, and values.
- Interact with and build meaningful relationships with diverse stakeholders across campus.
- Represent the Division of Administration and Finance to the university community and serve on internal and external committees.
- May provide direct and/or indirect supervision to exempt and non-exempt staff (i.e., hiring/firing, performance evaluations, disciplinary action, approve time off, etc.).

Required Education
Bachelor’s Degree
Required Experience
Seven (7) years of relevant experience in progressive leadership roles
