Job Description
AZZ has an exciting opportunity for a Director of ERP (Oracle) at our Fort Worth Texas corporate office. Reporting to the VP of Information Technology you will oversee the strategic planning, implementation, and management of the organization's Oracle ERP systems. Your pivotal role ensures the ERP aligns with business objectives, optimizes processes, and delivers value through system enhancements and integrations. The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise in Oracle ERP solutions and proven leadership experience.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Strategic Planning
- Develop and execute the ERP strategy to align with the organization's long-term goals.
- Identify opportunities to optimize business processes using Oracle ERP solutions.
- Leadership & Team Management
- Lead and mentor ERP team members, including project managers, developers, and analysts.
- Build cross-functional relationships with stakeholders in finance, HR, supply chain, IT, and other departments.
- System Implementation and Management
- Oversee Oracle ERP system implementations, upgrades, configurations, and customizations.
- Ensure ERP systems are maintained, stable, and meet business needs.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure data integrity.
- Project Management
- Manage large-scale Oracle ERP projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
- Create and manage project roadmaps, timelines, and milestones.
- Vendor and Stakeholder Management
- Collaborate with Oracle and other third-party vendors for support, licensing, and service agreements.
- Serve as the point of contact between technical teams and executive leadership.
- Compliance and Security
- Ensure ERP systems meet compliance requirements (e.g., SOX, GDPR).
- Develop and enforce data security and access control policies for ERP systems.
- Continuous Improvement
- Stay updated on Oracle ERP updates, new features, and industry trends.
- Drive ongoing process improvements and automation initiatives.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience with Oracle ERP systems, including Oracle Cloud or Oracle E-Business Suite.
- 5+ years of leadership or management experience in ERP or IT-related roles.
- Proven experience in implementing and managing large-scale Oracle ERP projects.
- Deep understanding of Oracle ERP modules (e.g., Financials, HCM, SCM, Procurement).
- Strong knowledge of database management and cloud-based Oracle solutions.
- Familiarity with tools like Oracle Fusion Middleware, SQL, and reporting tools.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
Minimum Education
- Bachelors’ degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Master’s degree or MBA is a plus.
- Oracle ERP certifications (e.g., Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, Oracle Financials) preferred.
- Project Management certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, Agile) preferred.
