The Flex Staff will work in Lin Lab, a dynamic lab at the intersection of artificial intelligence, machine learning, and mental health. This role will join an innovative research project focused on developing multi-modal machine learning models to predict key biometrics in healthy and patient populations, with a particular emphasis on eye tracking behaviors. The project involves building upon a spatio-temporal deep learning model and integrating semantic information to enhance prediction accuracy. Additional research directions include creating novel user interfaces and exploring the integration of this technology in clinical and daily life settings, potentially using other knowledge sources like electronic health records.
- Model Development: Assist in developing and refining multi-modal machine learning models, particularly focusing on spatio-temporal deep learning approaches.
- Data Analysis: Contribute to the analysis of biometric data, incorporating semantic information to improve prediction outcomes.
- Interface Design: Participate in the design and development of novel user interfaces that leverage the technology being developed.
- Exploratory Research: Explore the potential use cases of the technology in clinical and daily settings, including integration with electronic health records.
- Collaboration & Initiative: Work closely with the research team, taking initiative in proposing new ideas and approaches to enhance the project's outcomes.
- Depending on the role, a minimum of a high school diploma or GED is required as per MS Health System hiring policy. Otherwise, Bachelors, Masters or Ph.D as applicable.
- Experience relevant to the position.
- Basic understanding of machine learning concepts, with a willingness to learn and apply new techniques as needed.
Compensation Statement
The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for this role is $16.00 - $50.00 Hourly. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
